The project aims to help fund opening a new grocery store in Heaton Moor, Stockport.

Get involved & support “Bernie’s” a responsibly sourced grocery store in the Heatons.
Opening in July, Bernie’s will be an amazing place to buy fruit, veg, homewares, bakes etc, all responsibly sourced from other small independent businesses. The aim is to also be a platform that nurtures businesses breaking into to retail & diversifying their offering due to Covid-19.
After redundancy & with a baby on the way I decided to do something after more than a decade involved in some of Manchester’s best independent bars & later working for breweries.
Initial funding was secured through a government start up loan but this only covers initial set-up cost, fit out & legal fees.
Now we’re launching the crowdfund that will allow us to pre-sell you vouchers that can be used against buying items, plus give you a good reason to come & see us at our physical store.
