We'd really like your support to continue to run our Bereavement Counselling service for bereaved parents.
Zephyr's was set up by bereaved parents Martin and Carly following the death of their son, Zephyr. The charity, now run by a wonderful board of trustees and many inspiring volunteers, has supported many hundreds of local families; offering a mix of peer and professional support services, including counselling, wellbeing walks, yoga, creative activities, woodwork, and peer support conversations - helping grieving families to feel supported, acknowedged, and not on their own in their loss.

Our organisation isn't only here for parents when a child dies, we support the whole family. When a baby or child dies, the loss can affect everyone, like a ripple in a pond, the affect spreads wide, and feelings run really deep; getting support, enables bereaved parents to feel more able to cope, perhaps with other children or relationships with each other or those around them, to feel more able to navigate situations like facing life, friends, work, the idea of having other children, or living a life without children in it as they'd imagined.
Our counselling sessions support parents and grandparents too.
Some of our other services, that run alongside counselling, support all ages, such as our monthly weekend activities in the woods.
We're doing this, because we know how important our support is! Because hundreds of people have been helped by Zephyr's, and we want to keep on being here to do more, for more people. All of our services are provided for free for bereaved families, meaning we can offer support at really dark and tough times, without charge or concern for how someone pays for the help they need.

It costs us £40 per counsellor, per counselling session.
We rent the room we use, and we also need money for tea, coffee and tissues are vital supplies. Whether you can give a few pounds towards a warm drink, or pledge a little more to pay towards a counsellor's fees, we're so so grateful, thank you.x
