Now who in their right mind would invite a camera crew to follow their every move as they plan their comeback tour following a ‘career break’? Benny Gibson, that’s who. Planning the “Benny Gibson: A Leap of Faith” tour is bound to be an eventful meeting. This pilot follows BENNY GIBSON and his money hungry label executives as they begin preparation for his much anticipated comeback. Like many musicians, Benny wants success, fame, adoration and admiration and has decided he wants to document his return. Our camera crew will follow Benny and his team as they embark on this mammoth task. In this pilot we get the pleasure of meeting Benny, an exuberant artiste ready to dip his toes, deep, into the music world again. Benny and his cohort consisting of his manager, his assistant, label executives, his BOSS and the intern discuss the spectacle with a profitable yet fantastical eye. The team at TradeMark Records are giving you the chance to go behind the scenes into the industry.

Our vision will make you laugh, whether that's at us or with us, we don't care.

We adore Mockumentaries especially when they're about Music. We are huge fans of Chrisopher Guest and his works such as This is: Spinal Tap and Best in Show. These, amongst many others like The Office and This Country have taught us great comedy through filmmaking and we are confident that we can do these classics justice. This style of filmmaking is especially adaptable and we found it broadened our horizons to display our ideas and funny thoughts that we've put on pages, and soon to your screens! We especially love the genre of mockumentary as you feel like you are with the characters, there, in the room making the viewing experience unlike any other style of filmaking. We are making our mark with your new favorite series surrounding Benny Gibson. We hope you form a relationship with Benny, whether that be good or bad. As we can all agree, watching a witty, well crafted film at the cinema or at home is the ultimate release, whether that be with friends, family (even pets nowadays, yes pets can go to the cinema) we all know the feeling. We're eager to present you with Benny Gibson: A Leap of Faith as your hungover Sunday film by the fire, or at the cinema! This mockumentary is an original story that has been written and perfected over the last three years and has developed and grown with its creators Barney Pinder and Eric Keen. 

We at "Shynite Productions" have been working tirelessly over the past months finalising Phase 1 of production for our debut project. Our hardworking team consisting of Maya De Luca (Production Head, Producer), Sylvie Keen (Administrative Lead, Producer), Ollie Reed (Crowdfund Lead, Producer), Barney Pinder (Writer, Director, Producer, Star) and Eric Keen (Writer, Director, Producer, Star ) are in a position to take this into Phase 2 and couldn't be more exited! By donating you are directly supporting hardworking filmmakers and believing in them which is a rich currency in this industry. We need you guys to believe in us as much as we believe ourselves.

Not that you give a toss but we (Barney Pinder and Eric Keen) have had an evolving love for comedy and film-making throughout our entire lives; that is how this particular short film idea came to be. This script has been 3 years in the making so it is a passion project very close to our hearts (aww!) The reason this project has now begun is we have been lucky enough to build such a fantastic community of helpful contacts across the years in this weird, uncertain industry. Point is, everyone takes themselves to seriously these days, have a laugh with us.

Our aim for this project is to produce something that everyone can laugh at and give an insight to the life of an egotistical madman-child, and watching that is something we can all enjoy.
