The Prize
Mum taught me to knit. It seems only right that I'm raffling a shawl I knitted in the Bone Cancer Research Trust charity colours.
It has been lovingly made with £120 of the softest merino wool.
It took me two months to make (there were over 1000 stitches in the final row). Its the Westknits Aurora Cabin pattern.
It's 2m long and 60cm deep.
I would love it to go to a good home x
I will post it to any country

The Cause
I didn't realise that old people could get bone cancer. When mum noticed a lump on the back of her arm, I thought it was a pulled muscle.
Two months later she broke her arm opening a cafe door. Her upper arm bone had been replaced by osteosarcoma so she had it amputated, and called herself 'The One Armed Bandit'. Sadly it had already spread to her lungs and she died five months later.
Mum set up a legacy research fund called #BeMoreIsobel to fund research into this rare cancer that takes the lives of children and adults.
