We would like to raise as much as we can, but at least £3000 towards providing 'girls only' changing facilities at Kingsbridge RFC.
Get Your Kit On!
In recent years Kingsbridge Rugby Club has actively encouraged girls to participate in the game and now has a thriving girls section with teams regularly playing. However the girls have to effectively use the same changing rooms as the boys (ugh!), so the project we have is to upgrade the room currently used by the girls to a 'girls only' changing area which will be separate from the boys changing area. The idea is to provide toilets and washing facilities as well as improve the lighting, flooring and decoration and if we can raise enough possibly a mirror! The materials are likely to cost upwards of £1,500 at least, however were hoping to get the labour free.
Over one/two weekend(s) we are planning on having volunteers helping other club members such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers and decorators giving their time free of charge to create a functional and welcoming girls' changing area.
But first of all we need to raise a minimum of £1,500 to qualify for a further £750 from Nat West so please be as generous as you can and help us reach, or even exceed our £3,000 target as quickly as we can. Come on Kingsbridge never do anything by halves.
