Introduction
Hi and thanks for stopping by to take a look at our crowdfunder for 'Belief' - a unique, controversial, character based, sci-fi drama series. We are Rash Productions and my name is Julian Austwick, creator and director of 'Belief'.
I've been working on the story/script for over ten years now and the ideals and concept behind Belief couldn’t really be more relevant to today’s world, where what we are encouraged to believe via social media, the internet etc. can change the world, often not for the better.

Logline
When a revengeful heretic threatens to use a telekinetic teenager to destroy all religion, a disillusioned renegade realises he must stop them enacting an apocalyptic unholy war.
Synopsis
Several years ago, billionaire NICK HADLEY established a small, self sufficient and multi national community on a secret island he named ‘EMUNAH’. In the beginning he had eleven unwanted, newborn children brought to the island that were used in an experiment, to see if they can be made to ‘believe’ they have telekinetic abilities.
A small number of these children, now in their teenage years, have manifested these abilities. One of them is JUDE, the last child to arrive on the island from the first batch of newborns. Among the island inhabitants are Nick’s loyal partner MICHELLE TOMPKINS and his half-brother KARL HADLEY, a disillusioned underachiever.
After a childhood of abuse, mainly from within the Catholic Church, LIBBY JAMES has been planning to start a war to wipe out the world’s religions. Having infiltrated governments, institutions and businesses, she has built a sleeper army she’s called ‘RELIGION’S END’, ready to emerge when the time is right to start her apocalyptic conflict.
The last piece to her plan is a powerful figurehead - ‘The Liberator’ - to lead her army. After learning of Jude’s abilities, she asks Karl, one of her lovers, to bring the teenager to her.
When Libby’s forces attack and destroy Emunah and kill many of its inhabitants, Karl realises he has been used. After years of helping Libby, and believing she loved him, he must find a way to stop her from decimating the only world he has left -

Where we are
So last November, finally happy with the pilot episode script, I started Rash Productions with the goal of getting episode one 'Losing My Religion' made.
Thanks to a few investors, a wonderful but small crew, a lot of favours and a stellar cast we started filming the pilot in April earlier this year and are now around 98% complete. Post production has begun on the pilot and we're really pleased with what we have so far.

We’ve started this crowdfunder in the hope you may help us to continue this journey and join us for the ride.
We’ve achieved so much with a micro budget on the pilot and we want to crack on with episodes 2 and 3 of the 4-episode first season. Everyone involved up to this point has been so supportive and invested in the project and I would love to thank them all for bringing my vision to life, by completing this first season of Belief.
The script for episode 2 is done and episode 3 is close. We're raising funds to pay the brilliant cast and crew, get those cinematic locations we want to use, pay for insurance and to get our project seen and onto streaming platforms.
