Who We Are

Belfast SuperKings (BSK) Cricket Club is a proud member of the Northern Cricket Union, with a growing and diverse community of players—many of whom come from Asian backgrounds. Our mission is to create an inclusive, multicultural, and positive environment for all, while nurturing a love for cricket across all ages and skill levels. We are particularly focused on developing youth and women's cricket, alongside delivering high-quality playing and training experiences.

We currently have three active teams competing in various leagues:

Senior Team – Senior League Section 3

Junior Team – Junior League Section 10

Midweek Team – Midweek League

Why Your Support Matters

The youth development programme is a first of us, and we're committed to making it completely free for all the kids and youths who want to participate. To make this a reality and provide the best possible experience for these young cricketers, we're looking to raise funds for a few key areas:

Expert Coaching and Dedicated Support: Funding will enable you to bring in qualified coaches and recruit committed volunteers, ensuring the young players receive high-quality guidance.

Improved Training Environment: You aim to secure better training facilities, giving these enthusiastic cricketers the space they need to develop their skills.

Essential Training Equipment: The fundraiser will also provide the necessary training kits, empowering them to excel in the sport.

Essentially, this fundraising effort is about investing in the future of cricket in South Belfast by removing financial barriers for young players and equipping them with the resources they need to thrive.

Our Vision for Youth Cricket

Provide year-round, affordable (or free) coaching sessions for children

Invest in age-appropriate cricket gear, including bats, balls, pads, gloves, and helmets

Offer parents peace of mind by reducing their financial burden

Train and accredit more coaches to mentor and support our young players

Build a pathway for children in Northern Ireland to enjoy and excel in cricket

How You Can Help

This funding will be the engine powering a comprehensive and enriching youth development programme, thoughtfully structured into two 10-week blocks, one before and one after Christmas. This strategic timing aims to build on the anticipated growth in youth membership this summer, providing consistent, high-quality training to nurture their skills in preparation for the 2026 season.

Here's a clear breakdown of how the funding will be strategically allocated to create a truly impactful and accessible experience for young cricketers:

Investing in Highly Skilled Coaches (£960): Recognising that quality coaching is paramount, a portion of the funding will be dedicated to providing 8-12 hours of professional training (£80 per hour) for the coaches who will be leading the youth development programme. This ensures they are equipped with the best practices to guide and inspire young talent.

Delivering Expert Coaching and Providing Quality Training Environments (£4800): This crucial element will cover the costs associated with delivering 20 weeks of coaching sessions, each lasting 4 hours, at suitable indoor and outdoor venues with an estimated hourly hire rate of £60.

Ensuring Every Young Player Has the Right Gear (£4600): To eliminate financial barriers and ensure a safe and inclusive environment, a significant portion of the funding will be dedicated to providing essential equipment:

At least 20 full cricket kits (£120 each) tailored to different age groups.

20 sets of associated training gear (£40 each).

A comprehensive set of practice balls and essential safety equipment (£600).
