Tracey, our founder was a late diagnosed Dyspraxic. Tracey didn’t fit in until drama found her. Tracey loved the theatre and drama. Tracey believes in the power of theatre and drama to change lives. Tracey founded 13th Theatre Company to raise awareness of neurodiverse/autistic adults.

Beautiful Minds Drama Club

Our vision for the Beautiful Minds Drama Club is to build a community where neurodiverse/autistic adults can make friends, build their self confidence, express themselves, have fun and reach their potential. The drama club was named after the Russell Crowe film ‘Beautiful Mind’.

Our members come along with their carers who take an active part in the club. Often the carers are social workers.

At our sessions we dance, sing and use improvisation to create stories.The dancing and singing is good for their health and wellbeing because they are exercising and improving their physical health. Every time a member participates in a show they receive a Certificate of Achievement. We are making plans to stage shows for larger audiences. Putting on productions to a large audience will boost our members’ confidence and help them overcome shyness. We also have small parties to celebrate our success.

What the money will be used for.

The money we raise will go towards venue hire for the drama club sessions and future productions.
Your donation will help our club members to achieve more than they feel that they can achieve. It will also give them courage not to hide away from a world that doesn’t understand them.
