We're still collecting donations
On the 16th August 2023 we'd raised £1,171 with 36 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We've made the Playoffs, but now need your help! Please help us to raise the necessary funds so we can travel to our upcoming playoff game.

On the 16th August 2023 we'd raised £1,171 with 36 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
The Alphas were formed in 2018 by a consortium of coaches and former players who had previous links to the Sheffield Giants, Lincolnshire Bombers and Doncaster Mustangs.
The club had become the first team to represent Scunthorpe since the 'Scunthorpe Steelers' who folded in 1990. The Alphas brought American Football back to Quibell Park Stadium for the first time in 19 years when they hosted the Northants Knights on 15 September 2019, in attendance was a crowd of over 400 people.
The Alphas were made full BAFA members in October 2020 and played in Division Two for the 2021 season. In 2022, the Alphas had a successful season, winning all of their games and winning the playoff game moving them into Division One. 2023 has also been a winning season and so now the Alphas will travel to have a playoff game in the hopes of securing a move to Premiership level.

As an Academy, we have grown to include teams for U19s, U16s, U14s, and U11s. There is no subscription payment for our youth teams and we are wholly funded by Adult subscription fees, and sponsorships.
We are fortunate in that we are able to secure sponsorship and budget wisely throughout the season, but travelling farther afield for playoff games makes a huge dent in our finances. This may mean that we are unable to upgrade kit or equipment when we would like.
Your money will help us pay for travel costs enabling as many players as possible to attend and play for a chance to enter the Premiership division.
The wider impact of raising these funds means that for our players, their season hasn't ended. We would love to show our gratitude to our supporters by returning in 2024 as a Premiership team.
We are a community focussed team, wanting to offer a sport to as many people as possible, where we offer first-class coaching and support. Our home games are a community event with hundreds of spectators attending over the season. Being able to use our reserves to continue providing this, not only for our Adult team, but our Youth teams also, means asking for your help now.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
