We're still collecting donations
On the 27th July 2023 we'd raised £380 with 4 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Be a Good Neighbour started in June 2023. Since then I have been slowly growing the organisation but want to do more!

Hi, my name is Sarah Avery.
I am pleased to launch my community interest company called 'Be A Good Neighbour' based on the principle of the well know story of the Good Samaritan where a man looks after another man very different to him on the side of the road, teaching us that we are to show compassion and love for those we encounter in our everyday activities. We are to love others regardless of their age, race, social status, the criteria for love is that they are in need. If they have need and we can help, then we are to give generously and freely, without expectation of return.
What does Be a Good Neighbour do?
Be a Good Neighbour is about helping each other to help each other.
We provide help and support to your group, company and organisation to work for the good of the people in your community. We give you advice and help with planning and enable you as churches, charities, organisations and companies to learn and see the needs of the community. We help you implement a plan to bring about long-lasting change for the future. We can then help implement this plan.
Be a Good Neighbour is also supporting and befriending adults. 'Having seen long lasting change brought about in the lives of those Sarah has helped and supported for the last 20 plus years, as a social worker, charity leader, mentor, coach and mostly through kindness, Sarah is befriending those in need of help and support in the local community and beyond. With confidence, professionalism and kindness, Sarah will #beagoodneighbour and help them help themselves'.
I would love for you to help me on this journey with a donation to allow me to be able to grow and develop this work. Currently I am supporting 3 organisations and have had countless coffees to listen and help people in all stages of life. A donation of £20 pays for coffee with someone to help and support them through whatever is going on in their life at that time.
