Beadnell's Other Playground

Aim
We want to renew the playground in the Long Beach Drive Estate focusing on providing play equipment for children up to the age of ten
Beadnell Parish Council, with your help, wants to deliver the best play facilities in Beadnell for generations to come.
We want the sound of children’s laughter to continue to be heard in our popular fishing village of Beadnell on the North Northumberland coast. The community and Parish Council have already raised £150,000 to renovate our much-loved and much-used Meadow Lane playground.
But there is more that we can do to build on the fantastic support that we have received. Our fundraising effort continues.
Everyone knows about the playground in Meadow Lane which was on the site of the long-closed village school. It may be a surprise to some that there is a second playground in the Long Beach Drive development. This caters for the residents and themany visitors in the homes on Long Beach Drive and St Ebba’s Way. We want to capture the momentum of our successful fundraising project and carry it forward to modernise this facility which is one mile’s walk from the centre of the village.
