Beach Guardian Recycle and Plant Trees in Cornwall

Aim

We will Reuse the plastic bottles that we collect on our beach cleans as pots for plants and bee hotels to work with local communities

Beach Guardian CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Cornwall. Over the years regular beach cleaning has been done to collect and remove rubbish from the beaches; mainly washed up with the tide and mainly plastics from the sea. We now organise community beach cleans and conduct educational workshops with schools and other groups so that we are connecting people with the environment to improve health and wellbeing.

The aim of this project is to support our ambition to plant more trees. We will support nature’s recovery and restore losses suffered over the past 50 years. We will work with local communities on species reintroduction and recovery projects that support nature conservation.

We support people who would benefit from community and environmental programmes by Reusing the plastic bottles that we collect on our beach cleans to use as pots for plants; seedlings and saplings and to make bee and bug hotels to encourage connection with nature.

We simply must plant more trees and wild flowers. If this Crowdfunder is fully funded we will plant at least 1,250 trees and thousands of wildflowers...
