Aim
Providing drop in sessions during the week enabling us to provide support to vulnerable people, University students, volunteers and schools
To overcome the effects of the pandemic in our community, we need to do more. We will relieve pressure on local statutory services by providing social prescribing opportunities to people. We will equip individual volunteers with training and support, as well as equipment, to help to clean up their local areas of litter and PPE pollution.
We will provide drop-in sessions during the week enabling us to provide support to vulnerable people, University students, volunteers and school groups in our community who wish to get involved in supporting Beach Guardian.
This is a new initiative by providing regular days increasing our ability to offer workshops and drop-in sessions with the extra member of the team we will be able to increase this significantly.
This funding would provide a new member of staff who would be our "in house artist" to run the mindfulness and wellbeing activities.
