Aim: I want to create a platform for videos of good deeds being done. The most popular videos will win a jackpot fee.
Having grown up on a council estate, in a working class family, I found myself surrounded by good natured, kind hearted, hard working, often selfless people.
It struck me, at a very young age, that the nicest people I knew were often the people that suffered the most. Poverty is a cruel beast. Where I grew up, if you weren't perpetrating crimes you were probably a victim of crime.
Both are the inevitable outcome of poverty. There were those that self medicated with drugs and alcohol in order to supress their emotions, and those that sold drugs in the hope of raising themselves out of poverty.
It occurred to me that all the best people I had ever known had fallen victim to either crime or addiction.
I often pondered what it might take... what could be done... how I might correct such a clear and obvious, glaring error in human civilisation.
Eventually, it hit me...
If I could create a platform on which people could upload videos of individual acts of kindness, incredible acts of bravery, nominations for long standing pillars of a community or unsung local heroes...
Perhaps I could ask viewers to pay a small fee to vote for their favourites (kind of like BGT for good deeds).
The money generated could be divided into regional prize pots with the regional winners competing for the national jackpot.
The platform would not only serve as an incentive for users to be a good person but also to help restore viewers faith in humanity.
My overall goal would be to eventually create a crypto currency to run alongside the app thus creating an alternative, yet parallel economy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and I hope I will hear from you soon.
