Introducing Birmingham Disability Tennis Club! We're a dynamic community based at Billesley Tennis Centre, bringing together wheelchair users and able-bodied players. Our club provides more than just physical benefits; it fosters friendships, support, and a sense of belonging. Join us in promoting inclusivity and help us make a difference through our crowdfunding campaign!
We are crowdfunding to achieve multiple goals that will greatly benefit our wheelchair tennis club, an integral part of the local community for over 25 years.
Your support is crucial in acquiring much-needed equipment, ensuring the continued participation of existing members, and rebuilding confidence after the profound impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has significantly reduced participation, making it challenging for our club to operate at its full potential.
By rallying together, we aim to provide the necessary resources and opportunities to overcome these obstacles and create an inclusive environment that attracts new and younger members with disabilities. Together, let's make a lasting impact on physical health, social connections, and community spirit, helping our club thrive and remain a cherished institution in the local area.
The funds raised through our crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to specific areas to maximise their impact. We will prioritise the purchase of essential equipment, such as specialised wheelchairs, to enhance the playing experience for our members. Additionally, a portion of the funds will be used to improve our services, including coaching programmes and training sessions, to ensure the development and growth of our players. We will also allocate funds to rebuild our club membership to pre-COVID numbers and expand our reach to new members, particularly targeting younger people with disabilities. Your generous contributions will directly contribute to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for our wheelchair tennis community.
Our organisation has a profound impact on the broader community, benefiting individuals from all backgrounds and abilities. The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the vital role of our club, providing a sense of belonging and support during challenging times. In interview's with a local news channel and the campaign video at the top of the page, our members express the immense significance of the club in their lives. It has been a lifeline, offering solace, motivation, and a renewed sense of purpose. With sufficient funding, we hope to not only continue offering this invaluable service, but also expand and reach even more individuals in need. By supporting us, you contribute to the well-being of our disabled tennis community and help us create a more vibrant and inclusive community for everyone to enjoy.
