After the flood came smashing through the school many walls of classrooms were broken down. The childrens' desks, tables, books and beds were all ruined plus the food supplies which had just been purchased for the quarter. On top of this, the batteries that store energy from the solar panels have been stolen by looters. We need funds to replace all that has been lost but what we need urgently is to replace the solar panel batteries so that we can have light and power to the school to help with the cleanup and to start to get the orphans' bedrooms back to being habitable with new mattresses. If you can help if you mean the world to these children - some of whom have exams coming up in the coming weeks and need to be in school to learn and take these qualifications that may break the cycle of poverty.
ACEF is a small charity run by a group of volunteers from Solihull. We have very close links with Brainhouse Academy in the slums of Nairobi. We are going all out to raise funds to build back what has been lost in the floods. We would love your help.
