Providing crisis support to 11-25 year olds in Nottingham & Nottinghamshire. Inc: counselling, laundry, shower & a hot meal in a safe space.
Base 51 is a charity that supports 11-25 year olds in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who are from disadvantaged backgrounds.
There are over 17,500 children living in poverty in Nottingham, many of our wards rank as some of the most deprived in the country and Nottingham also sadly ranks the worst city in the entire UK to be a young person. Base 51 provide counselling, support groups, a LGBTQIA+ group, employability training, a youth club (one of the only ones left in Nottingham) and practical support with a kitchen, gym, showers, laundry and a clothes bank.
In the wake of the Cost of Living Crisis, we're braced for an influx into our centre, with more young people needing food, a safe space and emotional support. Your support could really help with this.
We'll use the funding raised to provide crisis support, including counselling, a hot meal, a shower and a change of clothes to a young person in desperate need. They will be young people who have been through trauma and need support to get back on their feet.
Our projects support any young person in need, whether that's just needed a safe space to hang out after school or counselling for deep trauma.
