Gateway Church Barnsley - CAP Debt Help Centre

Aim: Support us in providing a free debt help service. Enabling us to continue offering life saving in home debt help to anyone in need.

Gateway Church partnered with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) back in 2012 to provide free debt help to people in the Barnsley area and have helped hundreds of individuals and families over the years bringing hope and a solution even in the most difficult circumstances. We provide free face to face home visits accompanied by a member of the Gateway support team.

The funds will allow us to continue to provide the Free CAP debt help service for another year covering the Barnsley area, that is still in the top 10% of most deprived areas in the UK. We have already been running 12 years and have helped over 500 families with unmanageable debt so far.  Additional funding would allow us to continue to save lives as 50% of our clients have thought about ending their lives, before contacting us.  With your support, we can help release them from the pressure of unmanageable debt and support them until they go debt free!
