Banna Elite Boxing Club Background
Banna Elite Boxing Club is at the heart of our community, providing young people with a safe, positive, and inclusive environment to grow in confidence, develop new skills, and build lifelong friendships.
We are more than just a boxing club, we are a family. Our qualified coaches and volunteers dedicate their time to helping young people reach their potential both inside and outside the ring. Whether it’s improving fitness, boosting self-esteem, or offering a supportive space, our club plays an important role in keeping young people active, engaged, and connected.

Why are we crowdfunding?
We want to introduce a new programme designed specifically for children and young people with neurodiversity.
This will be a non-contact boxing programme that focuses on:
Building confidence and self-esteem
Developing coordination and motor skills
Reducing anxiety through structured physical activity
Creating an inclusive, supportive space where every young person feels they belong
At present, there are very few sporting opportunities in our area that are tailored to the needs of neurodiverse young people. By launching this programme, we hope to break down barriers and make sport accessible for everyone.

How we’ll spend the money raised
We want to be clear to everyone about how your donations will be used. Every pound will make a difference:
£3,500: Specialist coaches and training
This will include supporting delivery of non-contact boxing sessions tailored for neurodiverse young people delivered by at least 2 appropriately trained and qualified instructors with specialist Autism Movement Therapy experience, over 12 weeks. Both instructors will lead 2 sessions per week. Each session will last 60 mins, and will be structured with regular comfort breaks
£3,000: Equipment and resources
It will be necessary to purchase new gloves, pads and personal safety gear alongside equipment to enhance a sensory-friendly environment to include ‘pop up’ safety zones/Blackout tents, fibre-optic lighting, balance boards, weighted vests, headphones and tactile balls
£1,500: Specialist dietary, mental health, relaxation and sleep hygiene sessions will be offered to participants and their parents/carers. Again, given the complex range of needs and concerns, Banna Elite must outsource these services to ensure we offer a relevant and appropriate support.
£1,200 for coaches, wellbeing and nutritional support to introduce a simultaneous Health, Lifestyle and Fitness programme for mums, dads and/or carers, who can take advantage of the fact that their child is fully engaged and supported, and enjoy some ‘me time.’
We would also like to host an end of programme celebratory/achievement event recognising the efforts of all participants. This would include a medal/trophy ceremony alongside an informal social event. We estimate the totl cost of this would be approximately £800
Community impact
This project is about more than sport. It’s about inclusion, wellbeing, and opportunity.
By supporting us, you will help:
Provide a safe and inclusive space for neurodiverse young people who may otherwise feel excluded from sport.
Give families peace of mind, knowing their children are supported by trained coaches and mentors.
Strengthen our community by making our club a hub for diversity, acceptance, and positive activity.
Inspire confidence, resilience, and life skills that extend beyond the boxing club.
Our facilities are also used for community meetings, fitness sessions, and youth engagement projects, meaning this investment benefits the whole community, not just our boxers.

How you can play your part:
There are five simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality:
1. Make a pledge: Don’t delay if you’re going to support us, because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word: Share our project on social media and tell your friends and family to get behind us. The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards: If you’re a local business, you can donate goods, services, or vouchers as supporter rewards. We’ll give you a public shout-out!
4. Fundraise for us: Want to do a sponsored run, coffee morning, or fitness challenge? Use the “contact project” button and we’ll help you set it up.
5. Gift Aid your pledge: If you are a UK taxpayer, you can Gift Aid your donation. Simply click the gift aid button when you are making your donation and the club can reclaim 25% of your gift from HMRC. There is no extra cost to you
