Bandstand Gardens Revival Project, Southport

Aim

Enhance and restore the historic bandstand and its flowerbeds in Lord St Southport to their former glory

We are a group of volunteers dedicated to restoring Lord Street's green spaces. We rely purely on donations and we are now working to restore and enhance the historic bandstand and gardens including restoration of the flowerbeds to ensure an all round colourful display. We are hoping that transformation of this area, once completed will become a community hub for local events, including concerts and  dancing.  The planned improvements will make the bandstand and its gardens the vibrant focal point for the many tens of thousands of people who visit  Lord Street each year.

The Lord Street group which was started 14 years ago has won many accolades and was instrumental in Southport being awarded Champion of Champions in the 2025 Great Britain in Bloom competition

Some preparatory work has started but funding is now needed for the purchase of an irrigation system, plants, shrubs, topiary, soil and bark.The project will be led by Lord Street in Bloom and include the community, schools and people with special needs. The group is looking to raise £10,000 to enable us to accomplish our vision.
