Bandit Bakery is growing!

Time for the bakery to expand! For 2 years we've done everything under one roof- making, baking, selling. We're ready to grow and do more!

In April 2021 Bandit Bakery opened it's door for the very first time. Since then we've grown from a team of 3 to 8 with a bakery that makes hundreds of loaves a week, thousands of cinnamon buns a month and provides bread for the tables of some of the best restaurants in Aberdeen. We've been open for over 2 years and still at the weekend we have queues out the door and sell out in a couple of hours. We have gained worldwide fame and recognition.

We do everything in our small space on Rose Street in Aberdeen- making, baking and selling. And now that there's such a demand for what we do it's time to move to a bigger space...

So we're very excited to announce that we've signed the lease on the empty unit next door to us!

With this new location we can now have one space entirely dedicated to production and one space for selling our baked goods, selling products from our incredible suppliers and serving coffee.

Imagine being able to grab one of our world famous cinnamon buns and a freshly made cup of coffee? WE CAN MAKE THAT DREAM COME TRUE! we've teamed up with the world's number one coffee roaster, Dark Arts Coffee, to bring coffee to the bakery. We'll be serving takeaway drinks but we're also pretty excited to have some sitting in options. This will give customers the option to sit in and enjoy our incredible bakes fresh and warm with a cup of the best coffee on the planet. We are already so full of joy when we get to share what we do with the incredible people who visit us. We can't wait to have a space where you can stay awhile, be a part of what we have created.

At this point we have invested absolutely all the time and energy and love and money we have in the business. And we're proud to see it succeeding. But with your help we can do so, SO much more.

what will your pledge do?

We're looking to invest in the equipment necessary to produce a wider range of products as well as the equipment necessary to simply make more. With your help we can purchase everything we need to start making croissants and pastries, more foccacia, more sourdough, more cinnamon buns. We can make all our wildest decor dreams come true. We can build a self serve display and a proper till point to help speed up service and cut down on the long queues we currently have every weekend. We can simply make what is already the best even better.

In return we have some absolutely stunning exclusive new merchandise options. We're working with the incredible Never Worry studio in London for a re-design to start this next chapter. Their amazing work will feature on our packaging and future merch but for now anyone who chooses to back the crowd funder we have an exclusive t-shirt and cap available.

These won't be available after the crowd funder so now's your chance to get one! We will also have smaller pledge options available for sourdough bread and cinnamon buns.

Why are we crowd funding?

When we first started out we had to take out loans to fund the set up of the bakery. We're still paying them back and would like to, if possible, avoid the burden of further financial pressure brought on from borrowing. More importantly though- we love the connection we've built with our customers. It is one of the best parts of running a small business like ours- we get to know our regulars, know they're preferences, look forward to seeing them. We get to meet new people every day and share our passion and see our enthusiasm. And that's who we'd rather work with to fund this next step, not a bank. You're already such a key part of Bandit Bakery, why wouldn't we want you to be part of this next step?
