Back to the Cinema Gosport Event

Aim

We are 4 Film Studies students at the University of Portsmouth hoping to raise funds for our cinema screening in Gosport.

'Back to the Cinema' is a student event in collaboration with Gosport Community Cinema and Making Waves Film Festival that includes a screening of Back to the Future, a fully licensed bar, music and snacks in hopes to unite the film loving community of Gosport. Two of our group members have been raised in Gosport and therefore have a strong connection to it as well as cinema. They have expressed the lack of events like ours that unite both younger and older generations which inspired us to make it happen! The event will be running on the 5th of April at St John's Church and we are hoping to raise some funds that will allow us to create a magical and exciting event. The main goal is to bring a nostalgic cinema experience as well as to simply have a great Friday night.
