We’re taking part in the National Emergencies Trust Local Action Fund. Donations to our project will be matched by the fund up to the value of £250 to help us overcome the effects of the pandemic.
Please note only one donation per supporter will be matched by the National Emergencies Trust Local Action Fund.
Baby Aid Birmingham was founded in March 2020 by David Barker and Nicky Brennan. With existing poverty and deprivation affecting many people in Birmingham already, and existing pressure on local food banks, the Covid-19 pandemic made things increasingly difficult for parents to provide for their young children. Sensing a spike in child poverty, we set about creating a baby bank to fill this gap before the problem grew any further.
We provide essential items to over 250 children every month. Sometimes this is a pack of nappies and baby food, but often it is a Moses basket so the baby has somewhere to sleep. At Christmas, we also provide hundreds of children with presents they wouldn't receive otherwise.
The need to support families with young children on a low income or in crisis existed before Covid-19 and will sadly continue after. We have been lucky enough to receive some grants, but until we have long-term funding, we need your support to keep us going.
Luckily, and donations you make up to £250 will be matched by National Emergencies Trust Local Action Fund. This will help us maintain our service until we secure long-term security. Please help us by donating, and also by sharing with anyone you know who wants to help children in Birmingham
This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
