Aim
To create and develop the product range at B Knitt to sell, inspire and encourage the world to create and wear beautiful handmade knits.
Hiya! My name is Bri or Brittany as you've seen all the way up there in the heavens of my project and I am the designer, maker and developer at B Knitt.
About me and my story!
My heritage begins with my mum starting my love for knitting, she taught me the basics when I was a lot younger, teaching me how to knit scarfs and granny squares for blankets and so much more. However, whilst growing up and discovering the industry I decided I wanted to pursue a career as a fashion designer. Jumping through all the hoops to become a designer, passing my degree, finding my first job and learning my trade, I sort of put knitwear to one side.
After a few years later, I decided to pick up the needles again, but this time it was different. This time, I retaught myself and started to develop my own patterns and find suppliers and began to create a small range!
People became more and more interested in my knits and I've slowly began to sell my product. It's a slow start but I hope that with your support I can continue to grow my product range, my customer base and spread the love of knitting to a wider market!
My Goals and plans for B Knitt!
My goals for B Knitt are to create, design and develop a product range in which:
- Encourages a variety of customers of all ages to consider knitting as a hobby
- Gives a variety of beautiful products that can either be homemade or made by myself
- Invest in beautiful yarns supplied by British and European Farms
- Create a creative space in which I can run local workshops and teach my skills to a variety of ages
I have a notebook full of ideas, patterns and knitted swatches that I have developed, I want to continue to develop it and make my notebook to be a reality.
