Autism Rocks (Fife) would like to provide an activities program to the 2630 families we support both at our centre and externally.
We are a not for profit charitable organisation who formed in sept 2014 due to the severe lack of help , support and advice available to families living with Autism. Our support and resource centre gives families a place where they can come and be themselves with no fear of judgement and where they can be supported on this extremely difficult and isolating journey as the services are pretty much non existent . We opened our Kaleidoscope centre in January 2016 and currently support over 2630 families and individuals from all over Fife living with Autism. We support all ages on the spectrum, our youngest being 2 and our oldest being 52. We provide drop in sessions, teen and adult groups and family days, as well as offering awareness sessions to schools, colleges, and various other organizations.

It’s important to explain the wider impact of your organisation for the whole community, who does it benefit and why?
We provide help support and advice to the Autistic community as well as supporting the local nurseries, primary, and high schools with their autistic pupils. We provide awareness sessions to local businesses and other charities and organisations who wish to have a better understamnding of Autism. We also liase with the mental health services, social work and other health professionals to support autistic individuals.

This is where you should explain the reason you need to raise money. How is your organisation or community impacted by the cost of living crisis?
Due to the cost of living crisis, autisic families struggle to be able to take part in activities that would benefit their children, externally , due to the cost incurred. At our centre and externally, we would like to provide activities such as animal visits, visits to science centre, transport museum, pantomime, cinema etc. Under normal circustances, our families would struggle in the setting but as a group outing, and an autism friendly session , then they gain massive benefit from this.
We are also looking to provide an additional Saturday as our number of members are increasing along with our existing days.
We are also getting many vital repairs done to our building to make it more welcoming. New windows, repairs to toilets, flooring and some redecorating. So being able to provide additional activities will get our families out of the house and into our warm and welcoming space.
Add some of the repairs the church is doing for the welcoming bit

It’s important to be transparent about how you plan to spend the money you raise. Your audience will be more likely to make a pledge if they can see how their donation will help.
Every single penny raised will go into putting together a program of sensory activities, outings, and activities that can be done at our centre and outwith. Social events such as park visits, zoo trips. We will also use it to cover admission costs and transport costs.
