Starting an autism program to cater for the many children and young people afflicted by this condition in Uganda.
Uganda has about 130,000 children and adults living with the effects of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) everyday. Many of these children are loacked away and do not get involved in many if not all, community social activities, mainly because of the stigma attached to people with this condition.
Awareness efforts for ASD in Uganda are almost non-existent. Our organization (New Life Foundation - Uganda) aims to provide an exciting opportunity to clients and parents alike, to be able to access a professional program with activities for development, and a location for social interaction of their loved ones afflicted with ASD. Our one-of-a-kind programs are meant to instil confidence, happiness, courage and hope to children because of the, encouragement of spontaneity and devleopment activities that enable personal growth and development
Our program commenced in August 2016 using our own limited resources and savings, but we now have a lot more demand for our services explaining why we are trying to create more awareness and raise more funding to maintain, run and sustain our programs. We thank you very much for your interest and support.
