Aim
To facilitate an Astro Turf pitch for sporting clubs and events that can be accessed by Escrick CE Primary School and the wider community.
Who we are:
Escrick PTA is a not-for-profit charity which is made up of volunteers, we are all dedicated to enhancing the educational experience and environment of our young people. Further to this we are all members of the local community and feel driven to provide a facility that will enhance the health and wellbeing of all post Covid-19. We are driven to promote this facility within our community and the surrounding areas as a whole. Our aim is to promote positive mental health, sport, fitness and wellbeing.
The Project:
The provision of the astro turf pitch will bring the wider community together again once as a nation we emerge out of the COVID-19 pandemic. There is large variation in socio-economic status in surrounding villages, and many people who have been socially isolated. Our facility will be accessible to all children and adults in and around Escrick.
Once our target is met this project will provide a facility that is inclusive for all. It will be open to the school, new and existing sporting teams for matches and training, social groups, trainers, team builders and so much more in the wider community. Sports will include football, basketball, netball, boules, with a view to adding others. It will be a hub for community events.
Our Objective:
Our objective focuses on promoting and enhancing sport, fitness health and wellbeing within the wider community, with a view to the improvement of mental health post Covid-19.
Who will Benefit:
We aim to offer the facility to people of all ages, people of all abilities including those with disabilities, hidden disabilities and people from all socio-economic backgrounds. We have an amazing diverse community and we want to help make it healthier and happier in all ways. Access to quality sporting resources has been found to improve health but particularly for disadvantaged individuals. Moreover we want to provide a community for groups isolated during Covid-19.
Why Donate?:
We need your help to reach our target and set the wheels in motion for an amazing project that will serve a community of amazing people.
We appreciate this is a large target though without this fundraising we cannot move forward. We are confident that the benefits to our community and surrounding villages will be established and ongoing for many years to come. We hope that by sharing far and wide we can reach out to Donors who share our vision.
