Ukraine Appeal - ShelterBox - Astley Rotary Club

Aim: We are looking at raising funds to purchase Three Shelter Boxes, and other life-saving aid for families affected by the Ukraine crisis.
The Rotary Club of Astley are looking to raise much needed funds for the people of the Ukrainbe.
The world is witnessing a vast humanitarian crisis unfold.
Thousands of people are fleeing Ukraine, and they need our help.
Astley Rotary (along with many other clubs within Rotary International) have been supporting ‘ShelterBox’ organisation for many years, and we are looking at raising funds to purchase Three Shelter Boxes, and other life-saving aid for families affected by the Ukraine crisis.
- - A Shelter Box costs £590, and contains all the family needs (including Tent, Tool kit, Water Filtration kit, cooking essentials, Solar Light, Mattress set, Clothing etc), to create a shelter and set up a temporary home.
Other items:
- - £11 could buy a Solar Light
- - £36 could buy sleeping mats and thermal blankets for a family of four facing freezing winter nights.
- - £52 could send a family two warm children’s clothing sets, including anoraks, jeans, and cosy jumpers
- - £88 could provide a family with essential baby clothing such as baby grows, thermal underwear, an insulated One Piece, and four sets of children’s jeans and jumpers
- - £116 could give a winter shelter bundle – including mattresses, a kitchen set, blankets, and a solar light.
- - £355 could send a family tent, giving them the privacy, they need to start their recovery
