Supporting Those Living with Dementia — Together
Dementia doesn’t just affect memory.
It affects confidence, independence, relationships — and often leaves people feeling isolated and alone.
For carers, the journey can be exhausting, emotional, and overwhelming.
Through our Assist project, we see this reality up close in our community across Cherry Willingham and West Lindsey.
And we believe no one should have to face it alone.
A Place to Belong
Our Dementia Support Group provides a safe, welcoming space where people are known, valued, and supported.
Each session offers:
It’s a place where:
This is more than a group.
It’s a lifeline.
A Story From Our Community
One attendee came to us feeling withdrawn and uncertain, following a recent diagnosis.
At first, they found it difficult to engage. Conversations were short, and confidence was low.
But over time, through gentle encouragement, familiar activities, and a welcoming environment, something began to change.
They started joining in.
They began to smile more.
They formed connections with others.
Their carer told us:
"This group has made such a difference — not just for them, but for me too. We don’t feel so alone anymore."
Why We Need Your Help
We’ve secured grant funding to run this group — which is fantastic news.
But to unlock the full funding and deliver the service we need, we need to raise £1,000.
That means:
👉 Every £1 you give helps unlock additional funding
👉 Your donation has increased impact in supporting this work
Without this, we may not be able to run the group at the level our community needs.
What Your Support Will Do
Your support will help us to:
And if we raise more than our target, any additional funds will support our Wellbeing Group, helping even more people facing difficult circumstances.
Why This Matters Now
The number of people affected by dementia is growing — and so is the need for local, relational support.
Services like this don’t just improve quality of life.
They bring dignity, connection, and hope at a time when it’s needed most.
