We are raising funds to support a new video series interviewing earth scientists from across the UK to promote UK Geoscience careers.
The field of geoscience is as important today as it has ever been... So many of the challenges and questions faced about the climate, our environment, resources, and sustainable growth of society are rooted in the many fields of geoscience.
It is critical that we promote the wide variety of topics and field of study within geoscience to the next generation of potential geoscientists - especially to keen or intrigued school and college students with interests across STEM fields.
UK geologist, podcaster and earth science communicator Dr. Samuel Mitchell is launching a new video web series interviewing, in-person, geoscientists from the across the UK and across many different career fields of earth-related topics. This new series will be kindly hosted at the home of The Geological Society of London. These light-hearted Q&A sessions between the host and the guest will shed a light on all aspects of Earth Science and showcase the variety of job roles and skills acquired within this field . In addition, questions will be fielded directly from our own audiences and the general public!
The more funds we acquire, the more we will be able to continue and promote this series, covering more topics and featuring more geoscientists from diverse backgrounds and careers. This also aligns further with the goals of the recently launched This Is Geoscience campaign from The Geological Society - an initiative to reframe public understanding of geoscience and inspire the next generation of geoscientists.
Between the host, Dr. Samuel Mitchell, and the invited guests, we have a potential initial audience of 10,000's across many different media platforms, to reach a broad audience and demographic across the UK and beyond.
With your help and support, we can bring this series to our audiences and help promote the many fields of geoscience to the next generation. Thank you!
