Aim

BUILD A DISABLED TOILET and to improve on current facilities at our well established NWCFL ground in Ashton in Makerfield, Near Wigan.

A DISABLED TOILET FACILITY IS DESPERATELY NEEDED

The Clubhouse and ground are in regular use with a 1st team, reserve team, Academy team, Ladies Team and Junior squads. Also The Ashton Town Academy (U18) are in Residence 3 days a week for lessons, training and physiotherapy sessions. A-in-M Radio Club are Monday night tenants of the clubhouse, which is available for FREE for community meetings and functions. The ground and facilities are used for charity games and local adult and junior cup finals.

WE ARE OWNED & RUN BY THE PEOPLE OF ASHTON FOR THE PEOPLE OF ASHTON.

NO-ONE OWNS THE CLUB. IT IS UNINCORPORATED. IT IS NOT A CHARITY.

BUT IT IS A GRASSROOTS CLUB, RUN BY FANS.

Our Clubhouse was opened in 1969 by Roger Hunt and hasn't changed much since!

It needs more modern facilities to serve the local footballing community.

Our clubhouse has a pleasant modern, yet small Ladies Room that was revamped by a firm about five years ago as a prize we won as a community football club looking to encourage ladies and youth into the club.

Now it is increasingly evident that we need a disabled toilet.Clubhouse

***We Do have a wheelchair ramp to the clubhouse but no dedicated wheelchair access toilet facilities, this needs sorting ASAP Top priority. The space is there it just needs a bit of cash to get internal building and plumbing supplies and the man power is all ready and waiting to complete the job.

It's gonna cost at least £1,800 for the supplies alone.***

We need to raise money for Disabled WC

***Unless a generous local NW business wants to help by supplying goods or services at no cost or much lower costs to help us get it sorted, either way I strongly believe it has to be sorted quickly and swiftly.

We now have a ladies team after 61 years of football, it would be nice to offer them their own female changing facilities. Ours were built in 1975 and are starting to show their age. A couple of hundred pounds could be spent on exterior/interior finishes. If we could raise more money we could hire or aqcuire some sort of temporary building, we have space for it.

standOur Main Stand is partially seated and needs a bit of restrengthening in places. If we could get some timber, nuts/bolts/screws and metal panelling edges then it will last a few more years. If we could get more plastic seats that would a bonus. est. cost £100-£500

1/3 of our pitch perimeter fence is still, the original iron posts and these are rusting in places, this needs new posts, concrete  and wood for the top rail. I guess to finish the job about £500 should cover it.

The lists of outstanding work that needs doing just goes on and on and on.

To stop expensive balls from straying into peoples gardens and annoying our neighbours, we need more uprights and nets to catch balls around our ground. This would cost about £2,000.

We need loads and loads of red and white exterior paint. est. cost £150.

*If a tradesman wants to trade goods and services we have 8ft advertising hoardings around our pitch which we sell at £150 per season or £250 for two inc sign design, manufacture & pitchside installation.

We are happy to negotiate, with advertising, to get materials to get the jobs done.
