Louise Shearsby is fundraising for Campaign Against Living Miserably Charity No. SC044347

£1,020
I have decided to come out of running retirement and attempt to run 20 miles at Ashby 20 on the 26th March 2023 to raise money for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) as its a fantastic charity who do amazing work to tackle the rising rates of suicide in this country. As many of you know, my beloved brother in law, Carl, took his own life in 2010 aged just 24 so I am raising money in his memory and also in memory of my lovely friend Michelle's Son Elliot Fenton who they sadly lost 3 years ago at the same, young age. Life is increasingly hard these days and mental health services are at breaking point so charities like these are vitally important! If I can save just one family from going through what mine & Michelle's did than it will be so worthwhile. So... fat, unfit and rapidly aging me will be pulling on the running shoes again and trudging the streets in all weathers to train for this.. I will have Carl, Elliot and all the many others lost to suicide in my thoughts the entire time, they will spur me on and keep me going when I feel like giving up. If all my friends could spare, even the smallest amount it would mean the world to me! Please, please dont make me do this for nothing!! xxx
Thank you.
