ACMF was conceived by Artistic Director David Yang along with Devon local, Andy Williamson, and aims to bring world-class chamber music to the region every July.
Now in its sixth year we are busy planning the 10-day festival scheduled for July 2025. Bringing world-class musicians to perform in a number of traditional arts venues and non-traditional settings across rural South Devon. The programme so far will include:

Since its inception the ACMF has run on a very tight budget, with many artists giving their time for free. With the cost of living increasing and travel costs rising, we want to ensure we support the artists. We are making a number of funding applications including Arts Council and EUCO Chamber Music Fund and it will strengthen our application to show we have confirmed matched funding.
Since first visiting Devon in 2018, David has become smitten with the region and its people. One of the reasons to cycle around Devon is to meet more people and see parts of the area he has never seen before and experience the varied terrain, from beaches to deep forest and the extraordinary high open moor.
The bike:
David will be riding a 2019 S-Works Tarmac SL-6 disk (56 cm) with Campagnolo Chorus 12-speed mechanical groupset (50/34 front & 11/34 rear), Campagnolo “Shamal” (all road) wheelset with Schwalbe G-One Speed 30 mm tyres inflated at 70 psi and Shimano XTR PD-M9100 pedals. The rack and frame bags are by Tailfin.
