Ashburn house Bed and Breakfast

The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for  millions of British small businesses, which  is going to make it very challenging for businesses to survive.

We purchased Ashburn house in the middle of the season last July.
My mum and dad had been coming to Fort William for over 18 years on holiday. My dad asked me to run a b & b years ago I wasn’t ready at that point in my life.

Sadly my dad passed away a couple of years ago, his wish was for his ashes to be put on top of Ben Nevis. In August 2018 we come to Fort William for the first time and fell we all fell in love with Fort William. We thought Fort william would be the perfect place to bring up our 3 children up( Freya 2, Jon- Paul 3 and Nikita ages 8).

We brought the property Last July and we wanted to make the place our own. We invested our spare money into the property bringing it up-to date with knowing we had all the bookings in the pipeline for 2021.

We are currently crowdfunding to help us to be able to keep our business afloat. Covid19 has wiped out the majority of our bookings for this year. 

Prior to this, our bookings diary for the summer season was very healthy and we were gearing up for an incredibly busy and rewarding season. Then over the space of a few short weeks we have seen bookings for the season to begin to vanish . 

We have been forced into closing for the whole of April, possibly, May, June and part of July. Advanced booking has all been cancelled our income for April, May, and partially Bookings for June, July and August have also cancelled. This could potentially go through most of our summer. Even if we do re- open business will be a fraction of what we would have been receiving.

Any small donation will help, so with your help we can keep our business going during this global crisis, by supporting us with funds now that you can redeem later when the pandemic is over, and we can start moving around again and enjoying the wonderful Scottish Highlands.

We employ 1 housekeeper currently and was going to have a chef join us in May however we had to let him go due to this current pandemic.

I’ve had to put myself on the frontline to be able to provide food for my family. I had to get a temporary job in the local super market picking food for the home delivery’s and click and collect as we’re not entitled to much as we’re a new business and we don’t have a full year accounts. 
In my spare time I volunteer my local community for the vulnerable doing there food shopping, collecting prescriptions, posting letter and collecting food from the food bank, this also helps me take my mind of my worries for a short period of time. 

We are giving you the opportunity to be able to help us, but we are offering discounted rooms which these can be booked from when we are re-opened by the government and can be used until the end of 2023 

A pledge of £230 you will get 2 night’s stay 

A pledge of £475 and you will get a stay for 4 nights with us.

All pledges are based on 2 adults for 1 room only breakfast is also included 

The funds raised will help us to be get through this difficult time which we have been forced to close our business to all guests and allow us pay our mortgage, bills and make sure we will still be in business when we can return back to normal.
