Can you help Mrs. Clark and Ash class turn their frowns upside down?
Mrs. Clark and her Reception and Year 1 children (Ash class) at St Lawrence Primary School need your help! The children of Ash class love to play in the shaded classroom garden, but since it gets so much use and love from the kids, the garden becomes a messy mud pit when it rains. As a result, there are days when the children cannot use this lovely outdoor space.
Mrs. Clark has issued a big challenge - can we revitalise the Ash classroom garden this summer? Her vision is to lay artificial turf throughout the garden, so regardless of the weather, the children can always play outside if they choose. But Mrs. Clark isn’t stopping there, she envisions a 2m x 2m sand pit that the children can climb inside to play. And we will build on the existing mud kitchen area to include a cafe and shop, where the children can role-play and use natural ingredients - pine cones, dandelions, wood slices - to cook and serve to their friends. Plus, we plan to repurpose the existing playhouse into a bird hide, create a natural play area, build a veggie patch, and more.
We can only complete this project with your help. We aim to raise £3,000 so we can purchase and lay quality artificial turf that will last and build the classroom garden of children’s dreams.
