Aim

Help ASCape offer 10 activities in Dorset where Autistic and socially anxious young people and their families can connect, play & thrive.

Support ASCape 2026 – Inclusive Activities for Autistic & Socially Anxious Young People in Dorset

At ASCape, we believe every child and young person deserves the chance to enjoy safe, fun, and inclusive activities that reflect their interests and celebrate who they are. Too often, autistic and socially anxious children are excluded from mainstream clubs and events. That’s why we’re launching ASCape 2026 - a programme of 10 specially designed activities in Dorset that will bring autistic young people, their families, and their wider community together.

What We’re Doing

  • 10 inclusive activities designed in collaboration with the ASCape community.
  • Activities will be autism-friendly, tailored to young people’s interests and support needs.
  • Family-friendly approach – parents, carers and siblings will be encouraged to take part.
  • Activities will be attended by support workers, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and happy, while parent-carers get the chance to relax and enjoy the day too.

Why It Matters

For many autistic and socially anxious young people, joining in community events can be overwhelming or simply inaccessible. By creating safe, structured, and supportive activities, ASCape helps reduce isolation, improve mental health, and build confidence. Families tell us that our sessions are a lifeline – offering joy, connection, and understanding.

Our Goal

We need your help to raise funds to make this project possible. Every pound you give will go directly towards:

  • Autism-friendly venue hire materials
  • Support from skilled facilitators and experienced support workers
  • Project oversight to ensure activities are safe, well-organised, and tailored to participants’ needs

The total cost of delivering these 10 activities is £1,200. With your support, we can make ASCape 2026 a reality and improve the wellbeing of Autistic families across Dorset.

How You Can Help

  • Donate – every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
  • Share – help us spread the word so more people can support autistic young people in Dorset.
  • Get involved – if you’d like to partner, volunteer, or offer in-kind support, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we can make Dorset a place where autistic young people feel truly included and supported.
