We are a team of volunteers that have been inspired by the idea of creating visions of a better future - ten years from now - where humanity has done everything it can to solve the climate and nature crisis, and create a better more equitable planet for us, future generations, and all life on Earth. It wouldn't be a perfect world, but we would have turned the corner and would know where we are going.
Combining mini-stories with artwork would create a written and visual way to show a better future. These would be displayed initially in towns and villages in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and could then be taken on tour around the UK. They would also be available online.
We want to encourage schools, colleges and universities to take part, along with any other organisations who are interested. We also want any members of the public to get involved, whether experienced in producing art or not. Any form of art that can be photographed will be accepted.
Donations would go towards the costs of printing and displaying the artwork as well as providing art materials to local organisations who may not have access otherwise.
We are based in Herefordshire and Worcestershire but would like this project to inspire people throughout the UK and anywhere else world-wide. We've been inspired by the imagination sessions devised by Rob Hopkins.
We've put together a Art to Imagine a Better Future website with all the details of the project.
This is an example of how we would display the artwork:
