Aim
Art Fest Nottingham’s 2025 mission is simple: PAINT ART in the HEART of our city. Our grass-roots visual art festival needs your help!
Art Fest Nottingham is a free street art festival that transforms the city into an open-air gallery. After a hugely successful first year, we’re back on Saturday 20 September 2025, bigger, bolder and with more paint.

What we do...
We work with artists, for the community, showcasing muralists from Nottingham and beyond. Over 50 artists will take part this year, creating the city’s biggest ever murals across sites such as the Victoria Centre, Hockley, and Sneinton Market.

Where we began...
The festival is proudly grassroots. It began with local artists and organisers who saw the power of creativity to bring people together and wanted to make art something you didn’t have to pay for or step into a gallery to experience. It’s grown because people in Nottingham believe in it and have helped shape it – from muralists and makers to volunteers and local businesses.

What your support will enable...
We now have over 30 volunteers involved in the planning and delivery of Art Fest. Many are early-career artists who gain valuable skills and connections by supporting established creatives. Others join simply to be part of something positive in their city. This funding will help us provide proper support, coordination and recognition for everyone involved – and make sure the festival remains free, accessible and powered by the people who care most about it.
We’re raising funds to help cover key costs:
- Access equipment and training for artists to paint the cities biggest murals.
- Creative workshops for families
- Creative artist tours
- An exhibition for artists who do no make work on the street
Every donation supports creativity, community and culture right here in Nottingham.
