We aim to reach a £5000 target to afford a full reopening of the venue when music is allowed indoors again.
Arches Venue Coventry is part of a national initiative launched by Music Venue Trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.
Our venue faces closure because as many will know the venue closed its doors last year and opened with a new owner in January. Money had been already spent to get the venue to reach its full potential but then COVID-19 forced us to shut our doors again. Now with music still not allowed indoors affording to open the doors in future has become uncertain. We have spoken with Music Venue Trust and although the government has announced help for the arts we are still unaware on the help our venue will receive. So we have decided the best cause of action is to make this campaign to help save the venue and keep music alive in 2021's city of culture.
Your donations will be used to cover the rent when it is next due. Cover our utilities (Gas, Electric & Water). We will be able to open our doors again when music is allowed and start providing the entertainment everyone is so itching to have.
If we hit our target, and we can prevent the closure of our venue, everything above the amount we need will be donated to the Music Venue Trust GMV Crisis Fund to protect other venues just like ours, right across the country.
We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see our Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
