This project addresses a significant need within the Arab community and the wider Belfast community for a dedicated space where Arab heritage, arts, and culture can be preserved, promoted, and celebrated. By meeting this need, the project contributes to the cultural vitality, social cohesion, and well-being of the city and its residents.
The proposed Arab heritage hub project seeks to celebrate and preserve this heritage by providing a dedicated space where the stories, artifacts, and legacies of the Arab community can be shared and appreciated. The hub will showcase the diverse heritage of Arab culture through exhibitions, workshops, performances, and events, offering opportunities for people of all backgrounds to learn, engage, and connect.
At the heart of our project is a commitment to empowering and engaging the Arab community to be actively involved and proud of their heritage. Through participatory programming and collaborative partnerships, we will create opportunities for community members to contribute their knowledge, skills, and experiences to the hub's activities and initiatives. By involving the Arab community in decision-making processes, we will ensure that their voices are heard and their perspectives valued, fostering a sense of ownership and belonging.
