For students in Kropyvnytskyi, going to school in a town facing Russian missiles attacks is a constant struggle.
Our friends at the Free Trade Union of Education and Science in Ukraine are determined that children in Kropyvnytskyi can access education in a safe and supportive space.
But they urgently need your help today.
Your donation today can help equip the town’s Innovative Gymnasium – where children go to school – so no more children miss out on education even in the heat of war.
When you donate today, you will:
Help pay for lamps and battery lights, so children can keep learning - even when air raids force them into the shelter
Buy essential teaching kit, such as laptops for teachers, Arduino starter kits
Purchase portable teaching materials such as magnetic flip chart boards, so air raids don’t stop lessons.
No child wants to have lessons in a shelter, as sirens wail and missiles crash around them. But with your support, teachers can bring a bit of safety and normality to the classroom, even when faced with the most extraordinary pressures.
This is the first time we have run an appeal to support the Innovative Gymnasium. The need in Kropyvnytskyi is urgent. We hope you will donate in the next month, so that we can purchase and deliver this vital school equipment, so more children can go into the school term ready to learn. We might run another appeal as requested by education unions in Ukraine.
Will you donate today, and help the children of Kropyvnytskyi? Thank you.

This appeal is being organised by Ukraine Solidarity Campaign in partnership with UCU (the UK's University and College Union). We encourage anyone from any Union anywhere to donate (especially educators). If you aren't in a Union, please donate and join a Union.
