Increase Female Participation in Cricket

Aim

We have a growing women’s team but the shower facilities need to adapt to encourage further participation and provide the privacy required.

Our club caters for all ages of men and women and our goal is to provide the best opportunities possible to the local and wider community to engage in cricket and social activity.

Our clubhouse was built in the 1980's and the changing room toilets, despite being given a lot of TLC over the years, haven't been overhauled since.

We now have a growing women's and girls section. It's a section we're very proud of but the changing room toilets are not fit for purpose and certainly not fit for multi gender use.

The showers and toilets do not provide privacy for users, nor sufficient faciltiies for women and girls.

We also have a number of women playing in the men's teams which is great, but we need to provide a shower and toilet facility that both men and women can use in comfort and privacy.

This project and fundraising will allow us the opportunity to overhaul the shower and toilet facility to provide our members and visitors with a modern and redesigned facility they deserve offering a high quality facility they can be proud of.

We are also very passionate about sustainability and want to incorporate water reducing items to make the shower area as 'green' as possible.

By refurbishing and providing a modern facility we hope to increase further our female participants and help make our existing members enjoy using the club even more.
