In October, I will swim 10 miles, run 20 miles, walk 30 miles and cycle 40 miles, raising funds for Jubilee Park, Woodhall Spa.
This October, I'm taking on a 10-20-30-40 challenge that means so much to me: 100 miles of physical exercise to raise funds for Jubilee Park in Woodhall Spa - the place that has had such an amazing impact on my life in 2025.
As Fundraising & Volunteer Coordinator at Jubilee Park, it's time to put my money where my mouth is (well, your money, to be precise!)...
My Challenge
100 miles in total through October - it won't be fast and it won't be pretty, but it will happen!
Why This Matters to Me
Since joining the team at Jubilee Park, I've seen first hand just how important parks like Jubilee are. The park, the swimming pool, the fitness suite, the playpark - all of these spaces within Jubilee Park deliver so much to so many people.
This challenge is my personal thank you for the journey Jubilee Park has helped me take – I'm fitter, I have more energy and I'm 18lbs lighter! And I have a job that I absolutely love!
Why Jubilee Park is so Special
It's genuinely a privilege to work in a place where I get to meet so many amazing people. I meet people facing incredibly complex health challenges head-on through regular exercise, or being out and about in the park. I talk to people at our events, who tell me how important Jubilee Park is for their mental health and wellbeing. I see children playing in the playpark, learning to swim in the pool, making friends at our summer club, all the while building confidence, resilience and independence for when they grow up.
The value to each person who uses Jubilee Park is immense. It might not have the attention-grabbing clout of the big, national charities, but Jubilee Park is just as important - in a different way. It's an endorphin factory that provides free smiles, endless fun, better health and real community spirit.

So many people assume that Jubilee Park is run by the local authority, or that it is government-funded, but nothing could be further from the truth. The park is operated by the Jubilee Park charity, with no statutory funding whatsoever.
Thank you for believing in the power of community, the importance of active living, and the magic that happens in Jubilee Park. Please sponsor me, as I complete my 10-20-30-40 challenge through October!
Follow Along - Or Join In!
When October arrives, I'll post regular updates here to tell you how I'm getting on, and all of my miles will be recorded on my watch, then pass into Strava and from there, arrive neatly on this page - so there's full accountability on how I'm doing 🫣.
Please help me out by sharing this fundraiser, to help raise as much as possible for the Jubilee Park charity. Funds raised will go directly to purchase essential equipment or fund important projects within the park - helping us to punch way above our weight as a small community space!
If you want to go a step further, and join me on any stage, you're more than welcome!
Just contact me via the park if you'd like to join me for any of those stages!
Thank you again for supporting me in this challenge, and for supporting Jubilee Park!
