Anna's Hever Triathlon challenge - 23 September

Aim

Anna (age 10) is raising money for her school to buy play and PE equipment for future generations.

Over the years I have seen past pupils do the Hever triathlon and always wanted to do it once I reached year 6. The triathlon for my age group involves a 200 metre swim in the lake, 4.8km cycle and a 1.3km run. I have never done anything like this before but am up for the challenge having watched my father compete there for many years.

I am using this as an opportunity to raise money for my tiny school in the woods. With only 88 pupils it is a challenge to find creative ways to raise money. I really want to raise some money to buy PE and play equipment for our field for future generations to enjoy after I leave the school at the end of this year. If I reach my full target the school can buy 3 x precision rebounders for ball skills and an equipment set made up of 70 items (see photos).
