Keep Emma, our Animal Welfare Officer on the road, rescuing animals and helping owners until the end of 2024

1709114674_chilli_emma.jpgIn order to better serve our community, we have created a new role and employed Emma as our Animal Welfare, Community Engagement and Education Officer (ACE!)

Emma visits struggling pets and their owners providing help and access to essential vet care which these pets might not receive. Also advice and support with routine care such as parasite control and neutering.  She also rescue animals who need a second chance and a new start in a loving home.

Despite only working part time, Emma achieved all of this in her first full year;

  • Drove her van 11,110 miles and transported well over 150 animals from danger to safety.
  • Collected and delivered over £1,000 worth of pet food to our local food banks.
  • Spoke to over 2,000 children about compassion for animals.
  • Transported ill pets to essential vet appointments for elderly owners, who would otherwise have had to be parted from their pets forever and in some cases put to sleep.
  • Rescued many stray and feral cats and reunited them with their owners or moved them forward to a safe new life.
  • Free cat microchipping events for owners in financial hardship.

As a self-funded charity, it can be difficult to raise the funds we need year on year to make an impact for animals and owners in our community.

We believe that Emma’s work educates the next generation of pet owners about compassion for animals. It also provides a lifeline to struggling pet owners, keeping animals with those who love them. Finally, when all else has failed, she is there to rescue the most desperate animals. Last year this cost £18,000 but we believe this is money very well spent.  We are asking for your help to keep Emma doing this vital work. We understand that times have been tough for everyone, but the need for our services increases. Your support will not only contribute to the well-being of animals but also strengthen the bonds within our community.

Emma changes the lives of animals in need, works with the community to educate and advise and improves the quality of life for animals in partnership with the National RSPCA. Please can you please guarantee that we can keep her on the road for another year.

Donate now and be a part of our journey in creating a better world for animals.

Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
