An immersive treasure hunt version of Shakespeare's classic comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream told across the streets of Oxford. Join us!
Creation Theatre has been producing professional adaptations of Shakespeare and classic texts in Oxford for 20 years. This summer, to celebrate our 20th birthday we want to try something we've never done before - immersive theatre.
Working with Director Zoe Seaton of Big Telly Theatre, we'll create an interactive treasure hunt performance for 100 people per night across the streets of Oxford. Maybe you'll open a letter box and see Puck behind the scenes, or discover a projection of the fairies inside an old cupboard. Anything is possible in Shakespeare's most magical comedy.
We expect 3,000 people will come to see this performance over the course of five weeks in June and July, but with the whole city as our playground it's a little more ambitious and wilder performance than a regular show - hence we need you to help us make it come true!
We'll only be able to stage this play if we can find the funding for it. We have secured £8,000 in funding from Arts Council England, but this will only be released if we can match it with £2,000 from donations - so your pledge could unlock £10,000 towards this unique project.
