Reducing the large personal costs of Wales' Junior World Cup campaign, to represent our country at the highest level!
In June 2024, the Welsh U21 team competed in, and won, the B Division European Championships, which qualified us for the 2025 Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile.
As overall top goal scorer at the Euros, scoring 2 game winning goals (5 total across 4 games), I am incredibly proud to have played my part in providing the squad with this opportunity.
The Junior World Cup is the highest level of junior hockey that exists. In our pool, we play Belgium, Argentina, and Zimbabwe. Despite having 2 particularly high ranked teams to compete with, we are confident that we can surprise a lot of people with our performances.
Unfortunately, the costs of attending a top-flight tournament are huge, to say the least. This comes at great personal cost from players, and their families. All donations go directly towards supporting the team in travel, accommodation, and tournament costs.
Since the U21 Euros, I have increased my senior international cap count to 17, attending the Senior Euros (B Division) in July 2025, scoring the winner in the semi final, which gained us qualification to the Euro A Division - a huge step forwards for Welsh hockey.
I play my club hockey at Loughborough University (LSWHC 1st XI) in the English Premier League. I also coach the women's 6s, and am the women's 3s assistant coach.
All in all, I just really love hockey - I coach at various levels (university, Sport101, and South Yorkshire county), I share TikTok videos to increase the reach of hockey as a sport, and I have a blog where I write about hockey: ontheflickside.com.
Donating to this cause will help to fulfil the dreams of 20 Welsh girls who simply love their sport. Thank you x
