We're still collecting donations
On the 3rd October 2024 we'd raised £43,001 with 114 supporters in 63 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We wish to install water and sewerage into our on-site cabin, which will improve matchday experiences as well as the Jac Lewis Foundation.

On the 3rd October 2024 we'd raised £43,001 with 114 supporters in 63 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Ammanford AFC provide football experiences for over 500 members, including 400 mini and junior boys and girls from U6-U16, and over 100 adults via our 3 Mens, Ladies and Veterans Team. We are one of very few clubs across Wales who have a Pan-Disability side, providing football opportunities for players with MS, Autism, Personality Disorders, Epilepsy, Down's Syndrome, Motor Neuron Disease, Aspergers, Bipolar among others.
We were named Actif 'Community Club of the Year' in 2023, and remain the only sports club in Carmarthenshire with Disability Sport Wales InSport Gold Accreditation, and one of only a handful of clubs who's junior section have Platinum Accreditation.
Although we installed our on-site cabin in 2019, it has remained without running water and sewerage since this period. Over the last five years, the club has pursued simpler water and sewerage routes, however in recent weeks it has been established that this is no longer an option, meaning we have only one remaining option to finally connect the building to the mains water and sewerage supply.
The club will spend the money by using a Welsh Water recognised contractor to connect the building to mains water and sewerage lines. Welsh Water have agreed to the route, which includes approximately 170m of trench work (110m grass, 60m tarmac), as well as a pumping station. The works will require no road closures, as this will be managed by Welsh Water.
Completing this project will have a huge impact on the community via 3 factors:
1. Jac Lewis Foundation – our on-site mental health charity ‘Jac Lewis Foundation’, which we established in 2019, will be able to provide a greater number of counselling sessions and training from the facility, particularly during the winter months where currently they have difficulty due to the lack of hot running water and toileting facilities to make clients/counsellors comfortable to attend these sessions. The JLF have already provided FREE sessions for over 2,000 clients in the SA18 area.
2. Improved matchday experiences – opportunities for the club to sell a greater range of hot/cold refreshments.
3. Improved toilet facilities – the building has wheelchair accessible toilets in readiness, in order to provide all supporters comfortable WC facilities while visiting our ground.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
