We need to fully restore a huge stained glass window in the Sports Hall here, making it weather-tight again for hundreds of years to come.

If we're lucky enough to raise more than our target for this window, we'd like to raise a further £10,000 for the Stained Glass Restoration Fund. This fund will support our ongoing programme of stained glass restoration around the building.
Stained Glass at Victoria Baths
Victoria Baths was named "Manchester's Water Palace" when the Swimming Pool and Turkish Baths opened in 1906, with it stunning stained glass windows, tiles and mosaic floors amongst its features.
Built to provide washing and bathing facilities for local people, the Grade II* listed building is now wowing visitors from all around the world.

Restoration continues
Restoration work continues every year. One of our biggest sources of income towards running costs and maintenance is hiring the building out for events and location shoots (including Peaky Blinders and Cold Feet, to name but two). A key events space is the Sports Hall, which used to be the Males 2nd class pool. The first of the two big stained glass windows in there is being restored right now and we really need to repair and restore the other big window in there this year, making the whole space weather and water-tight for hundreds of years to come.

How much will it cost?
We have £10,000 already in our Restoration Fund and the total cost to restore this window will be £20,000. So we urgently need to raise another £10,000 to complete this job in 2019.
