Hi my name's Demi & the aim of my project is to make sure Altaf & her family are continually supported till humanitarian aid's accessibe 2em
My team of fellow Mutual Aid workers is comprised of wonderful people stepping up to help those strikken by major manmade disasters.
We work tirelessly to verify and make sure the people supported are legitimately needing help.
I am just a lone parent in receipt of government subsidies for my disabilities while in therapy, and otherwise financially inactive so I can't do it by myself.
This won't hold me back from making sure my innocent sisters and brothers's human rights are well respected and their needs met, to the very least.
Your financial support is crucial at that stage for Altaf, her husband and their 3 little ones; Malak, Sinan and Sand (1, 2 and 3yo respectively).
Malak is diagnosed and in ongoing treatment for brain atrophy.
Their previous link creator from our network had to retract for personal reasons, so they reached out to me for help with the matter.
Their immediate needs include hygiene products, food, nappies, milk powder and season-appropriate clothes for the kids as they outgrown them by the minute at these ages.
Malak's physical therapy for his condition is regular and must remain frequent to ensure his wellbeing.
In Altaf's words:
Hello, I’m Altaf, 21 years old. My daughter, Malak, was born during the war and is now one year old. Since her birth, she has been hospitalized more than 35 times and is now suffering. Unfortunately, I discovered she has cerebral palsy. I need help raising money for her treatment. The doctor said she needs therapy sessions for a year, each session costing $100. My daughter Malak has the right to run, walk, and play like other children. Please do everything you can for her. She needs treatment for cerebral palsy, other therapies, medications, and sometimes surgery. Due to the inability to access proper medical care, Sinan is suffering greatly.
We still live in Deir al-Balah, but now we are living in a single bedroom in my brother-in-law’s house. Malak’s health is not good; she suffers from diarrhea and needs medication and special formula that are difficult to obtain. Every child deserves the chance to live healthy, safe, and peacefully. Even a small donation can make a big difference in our lives. We need your support, and we need you to stand by me and my children. Please imagine yourselves in our place. The daily pain and suffering we endure. If it’s hard to imagine the constant hunger, the ever-present threat of bombing, and the serious health problems we face, this underscores the immense pressure we are under.
Your donation will help us meet the basic needs we lack and ultimately help us reach safety. If you are unable to contribute financially, please share this campaign with others who may be able to help. Thank you for your time, understanding, and generosity. I hope you will stand with me and my family. I love you all so much! 🙏🥹
We are truly grateful for your ongoing solidarity, and wish you are able to show them your solidarity with actions such as sharing their story and link, and donating for them as regularly as possible too.
One-off donations are most welcome and very much appreciated as well of course 🌻
